Privacy Policy

Ordara is a school planner made by 9G Labs LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information Ordara collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

By using Ordara, you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who we are

Ordara is operated by 9G Labs LLC, a United States company, which is the controller of the information described here. You can reach us at support@9g-labs.com with any question about this policy or your data.

2. Age

Ordara is intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it. If you are under 18, please review this policy with a parent or guardian.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your email address and password, or the sign-in provided by Sign in with Apple. You may also add a display name.
• Your content — the classes, assignments, due dates, notes, study blocks, and other information you enter into the planner.
• What you import — photos, screenshots, typed text, and voice recordings you submit so the app can create assignments from them.
• Assistant conversations — the messages you exchange with Capy, the in-app assistant, and anything you ask it to remember.
• Support requests — if you email us, we receive your message and your email address.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — how you use the app, recorded as screen patterns (for example, that a settings screen was opened) and as counts and categories (for example, that an import found four assignments). This data is linked to your account. It does not include your assignment titles, class names, notes, or the text of your conversations.
• Device information — app version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and time zone.
• A device identifier generated by the app the first time it runs, used to keep your usage data consistent.
• IP address, which our providers see when the app connects to them, and from which an approximate region (roughly country level) may be inferred.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active Ordara Pro subscription, and your purchase history.

Information we do not collect

Ordara does not use advertising identifiers, ad networks, or data brokers, does not track you across other apps or websites, does not record your screen, and does not collect precise location.

4. AI features

Two features rely on artificial intelligence, and both send your content to a third-party AI provider that processes it on our behalf:

• Importing assignments. When you import work by photo, screenshot, text, or voice, the capture — the image, text, or audio — is sent to the AI provider so it can read the assignments out of it. Voice recordings are transcribed.
• The assistant. When you message Capy, your message, the recent conversation, and a summary of your relevant classes and assignments are sent to the AI provider to generate a reply.

Under the AI provider's API terms, this content is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring before deletion. We do not use your content to train any model of our own.

5. How we use your information

We use the information above to operate and provide Ordara, including to:

• run the planner and its AI features;
• create and secure your account;
• process your subscription;
• understand how the app is used so we can improve it and fix problems;
• send you service messages, such as account confirmation and security emails; and
• respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your information or use it to build advertising profiles.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the app, and only with what they need to do their job. These providers fall into the following categories:

• Cloud hosting and database — stores your account and content (located in the United States);
• AI processing — the import and assistant features described in Section 4;
• Product analytics — the usage data described in Section 3;
• Subscriptions and payments — managed through Apple, which processes all payments (we never see your card details);
• Email delivery — sends account and security emails.

Each provider is bound by contract to protect your information. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect someone's safety, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Account & Security → Delete account), which removes your account and its contents — classes, assignments, notes, conversations, and settings — from our database. This is immediate and cannot be undone.

After deletion, some service providers may retain limited records for a short period as their own policies require, and Apple keeps its own record of your purchases. To have records held by our analytics or subscription providers removed as well, email support@9g-labs.com and we will take care of it.

8. Your choices and rights

• Access and correct. Most of your information is visible and editable in the app. For a copy of everything we hold, email us.
• Delete. Delete your account in the app, as described above.
• Analytics. To turn off usage analytics for your account and remove the data already collected, email us and we will do it.
• Cancel your subscription. Manage it on your device in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple handles cancellations, not us.

To make any request, contact support@9g-labs.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion and correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EEA and UK residents

Ordara is operated from and hosted in the United States, so your information is transferred there. We process it to perform our contract with you (providing the app and the features you request) and for our legitimate interests (keeping the service working, secure, and improving). You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

9. How we protect your information

Connections between the app and our servers are encrypted. Your data is isolated so that one account cannot access another's, and sign-in tokens are stored in the device's secure keychain rather than in plain storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you.

10. Beta

Ordara is currently in beta testing. Features may change or occasionally break, and we may contact you about the beta at the address you signed up with.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
